• Application container:

  A phyical machine or virtual machine where operation systems run

• Application instance:

  Business codes in deployment packages (such as war). There are multiple code duplications because applications generally run at different service addresses

• Application cluster:

  A cluster composed of multiple application instances

• Application process:

  The operating system process where an application instance runs

• Application group:

  A business cluster (logical concept) composed of multiple application clusters and specified manually

• Application ID:

  The unique identifier of an application type

• Application instance ID:

  The unique identifier of the application instances belonging to the same application type
